smile photoOn Friday's nightly news, WOFL Fox 35 of Orlando featured a short interview with a teen happy she changed to Invisalign. Invisalign is a series of clear plastic trays that fit over the teeth. They are customized for the patient to ensure proper alignment. One tray is worn consistently for about two weeks, or until a small blue dot that is affected by the saliva indicates that it's time to change.

Invisalign allows for smile correction without the visible metal braces of years ago. One teen that channel 35's reporter spoke to said that as a teen actress, she found that she gets more jobs now that she's using Invisalign rather than the classic metal.

Orthodontists say that Invisalign is for the correction of mild to moderate smile irregularities. At $5000-$8000, the cost is about the same as traditional metal braces.
